Yuan Dao Guan Yin Temple (part 2)

【The Passage of Art】
◎ The Door to the Great Way
On visiting the Yuan-Dao Guan-Yin Temple, what first comes into sight are the grand wall cascade and the broad ancient temple gate. The Originality of the design is unique in the world. The mountain gate, embedded with “the Perfect Harmony of All Doctrines” – the Dharma Mark of Forshang Buddhism, measures 7.5 centimeters and weights 15 hundred kilograms. As heavy as iron, the pillars of the “iron wood” from the Island of Borneo are characterized by one hundred year’s duration, worm and rot-resistance.

The cascade wall has wonderful hidden device. During the day, it is a waterfall, while at night during the after hour, steel fences arise to guard the Yuan-Dao Guan-Yin Temple with an extremely study structure.
In addition, every door of Yuan-Dao Guan-Yin Temple is created with its own exquisite unique design. Each is embedded with Xiangqi chessman, etc. This is one of the cultural characteristics of Yuan-Dao Guan-Yin Temple for creating a trip of art for visitors.

◎ The Corridor of Art
The Yuan-Dao Guan-Yin Temple specially designs the stairway to be made with red sandal wood and cast iron. It is also arranged into an art gallery. All the paintings displayed in every floor are “totems of the universe” personally drawn by Master Sun-Don Lee.

◎ Totems of The Universe
Totems present the fundamental marks of all phenomena and energies in the universe that Master Sun-Don Lee of the Forshang Buddhism suddenly saw in deep meditation. Simple lines perfectly compose all the energy changes in the universe and the profound interactions of causation. This transformable essence that harmonizes all sounds, lights, and forms, contains the complete energy and effect for all the transformations in all space and time. Ultimately, that is the innate nature.
All the Totems, such as the Potential-Inspiring Pyramid, the piece engraved on Hsiang-Fei wood on the 2nd Floor, paintings in the stairways, the three-dimensional totem of stone mortars on the three virtues square, totems engraved on the stone slates laid on the ground by the Forshang Wonderful Sound Dharma Bell, are the creation of totems of the universe.

【The Landscape】
◎ The Guarding Rock The Guarding Rock, on which the calligraphy of “the Accordance with Guan-Yin’s Power” by Master Sun-Don Lee of Forshang Buddhism is engraved, is established as a symbol of Forshang doctrine’s greatest pitying vows to protect all beings with causation.

◎ The Thirty Three Guan-Yin Statues and the Four Chief Bodhisattvas The unique thirty three Guan-Yin statues of the Yuan-Dao Guan-Yin Temple, along with the four chief Bodhisattvas statues – the Dragon-Riding Guan-Yin, Wen-Shu, Dee-Tsang, and Pu-Hsien, are situated around the temple, under waterfalls, on the slopes, in the Japanese garden, or by the sidewalk, either in standing, sitting, or sleeping positions.
All these statues are sculpted out of Ching-Do Stone(青斗石). Compassionate in Dharma form, delicate in craft, each statue is a piece of art.

◎ Forest Air Sidewalk – The Sleeping Buddha The sidewalk winds through the woods, in which all the trees are preserved for the original atmosphere of a forest. Certain sections of the walk are even made with reinforced glass to add surprising delight to the roam through the forest. At the end of the sidewalk sits a Sleeping Buddha bronze statue, looking stately and cheerful.

【Special Activities】
◎ The Blessing Charm – Ping An Fu Every year staring with Chinese New Year, the blessing Charm of the Yuan-Dao Guan-Yin Temple, empowered by Master Sun-Don Lee of the Forshang Buddhism, will be available on everybody’s request as a way to create a causation. The way to make a request and to be granted one is for anyone to be able to always obtain the “divine sign” in several consecutive castings. Anyone who has the causation to be granted a Blessing Charm will enjoy a favorable and prosperous year in various aspects, such as wealth, career, health and peace, etc. Since the Blessing Charm was presented, people responded with great enthusiasm and hundreds and thousands of people were thus attracted to the temple everyday. As a precious item, only a limited amount will be offered.

◎ The Celebration Party of Year-end
There is a celebration party in every year-end (including Lunar Year). Master Sun-Don Lee of the Forshang Buddhism leads everyone to bless everyone having a happy, healthy, weathy and prosperous upcoming New Year.
